Blacksmith Jacks, formed over 9 years, previously known as Mackay Industrial Gases, this local family owned company has evolved into a unique supplier of Gas, Welding, Tools, Safety, Uniforms and General Building and Engineering Supplies.
With now over 12 staff and combined experience of over 30 years in all fields of trade, Blacksmith Jacks takes pride in being able to provide our customers in Mackay and surrounding areas with a large range of products and advice to help get the job done.
After moving into new premises on the 15th of August 2009, Blacksmith Jacks offers over 30,000 line items, in a showroom consisting of two levels on 2200m2. On show is over a million dollars worth of stock, in a range of categories consisting of Gas and Welding Equipment, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Safety Equipment and Apparel, Workwear and Boots, Cleaning and Janitorial Supplies, Air Tools and Compressors, Generators, Building and Construction Tools, Measuring and Laser Levels, Lubrication Equipment, Abrasives and Engineering Supplies.
Open from 6am to 6pm weekdays, and 8-12 on a Saturday, our hours of operation mean that we are there when you need us, either before work, or on your way home.
17 car parks, with two street access, will help you get in quickly and get what you need.
Double storey offices house our 12 staff, with the latest in telecommunications, and mobile computing technology. Our external sales team can take your order in-store and have it printing out in our warehouse for picking before he leaves your workshop. We can offer a range of services, from large in-store managed stock, to small urgent orders – on transport and out to site. You let us know what you want, where you want it, and in what time frame – we will make it happen.
We have three delivery vehicles, operating two runs per day in Mackay, and regular scheduled deliveries out of Mackay taking in areas such as Capella, Clermont, Moranbah, Nebo, Sarina, Proserpine, Airlie Beach, and Bowen. To add to our service in these areas, we have a network of depots and distributors who hold our range of Industrial Gases on site for you to collect.
Backed by one of Australia’s largest Industrial Supply groups (AIS – Australian Industrial Supplies) we have the buying power, and range of suppliers to fill any of your requirements. If a supplier does have what we need, we can source the product from one of the other members in the AIS group.
For Apprentices, we are a registered supplier for the Tools For Your Trade (TFYT) government incentive, and we also offer our own Trade Apprentice Program which gives the apprentice ongoing great deals on tools right throughout their trade. A personalised card is issued, which can be used at any AIS store in Australia, and ensures you get notified of the latest deals and products for your trade.
